Regarding the Baghpat district body elections, RLD has distributed election symbols to its candidates on Monday. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party made a big announcement on Tuesday and announced not to contest the elections for the post of president in Barot and Baghpat. In fact, the party will support the Rashtriya Lok Dal on both these seats.

On Tuesday, a post has been made from the official Twitter page of the Samajwadi Party, in which it is written that in Barot and Baghpat, the Samajwadi Party will not contest for the post of president in the local municipal elections and will support the Rashtriya Lok Dal.

On the other hand, talking about RLD, RLD has distributed election symbols to the candidates on most of the seats. Also called upon the workers to get involved in the preparations for the elections. RLD has declared former chairman Rajuddin advocate from Baghpat municipality, Ranjita Dhama from Khekra municipality as its candidate for the post of president. In which on Monday, RLD District President Rampal Dhama handed over the symbols for the body elections from Baghpat Municipality to Rajuddin Advocate and Khekra.

The nomination process for civic elections began on Monday. There was tight security in all the three tehsils regarding this. Not a single nomination paper was submitted on the first day. For the post of President, 42 nomination papers and 256 nomination papers for the post of Councilor were purchased.

DM Rajkamal Yadav, SP Arpit Vijayvargiya inspected all the three tehsils. On the first day, maximum 11 nomination papers were bought for the post of President of Aggarwal Mandi Titiri Nagar Panchayat, while seven nomination papers were sold for Baraut.
